All Hallow's Eve

Last Friday Ava's school had a costume parade and celebrated Halloween on their short day.  She wanted to paint her face green for Halloween, but didn't want to do it for the school celebration.  She said she didn't want her friends to believe she was a real witch.

 Scary witch face.
 Ava and Bree

We got to her school ten minutes before the parade began and it was standing room only.  Talk about a hot ticket.  She spotted us.
Hi ya Mom and Dad!
On Monday Ava had a playdate with her friend Sheila.  Sheila's mom carved pumpkins with them, bless her.  It's not my favorite.  I didn't realize I didn't get a picture of the Jack o' lantern's face.  Oh well.
Halloween night.  Bree is a witch too, but since she had a hand me down costume from Ava I couldn't find the hat.  This proved to be a problem as people kept trying to guess what she was.  We got renaissance princess quite a bit, as well as pirate wench.

Ava was thrilled with her green face, but didn't want me to paint her chest and neck or ears, so it's a bit disjointed.
Weird picture with my setting set to night scene and our porch light on.
Brig threw on a black hooded jacket and warm-ups and used his birthday present form the girls: his batman mask.

I don't think this was meant to be a scary face, but it kinda is.  Sorry Ava.
Brielle was giddy.  I've never seen anything like it.  She kept getting that excited wheeze when you suck in your breath.  She quickly learned the ropes and knocked with Ava at every door, said trick or treat and then thank you and bye.  It was so much fun watching the two of them.
Ava was so happy to have a trick or treat buddy.  She kept telling me and Brig we could hang back on the sidewalk.
Over at the church carriage house they have scones and hot apple cider every Halloween.  Here is Brig and his friend, Marty dressed as a sumo wrestler.

The girls got some wacko glasses at a house.

We left the house at 7, and got home at 9.  Another successful Halloween night.
